Neck Pain Chiropractic
A recent study in the Journal of Internal Medicine demonstrated that chiropractic manipulation was more effective than medication for treatment of neck pain. (1)
This is great news for many people suffer from both chronic and acute neck pain. It is not however earth shattering news. I have been treating neck pain in Rolla MO and St. James MO area now for seventeen years with great result using chiropractic manipulation.
I understand though that many people may have a fear of having their neck adjusted. I too have seen the movies where the bad guy grabs the person and twist his neck and breaks it. This is far from the truth. Cervical spine adjusting is gentle. There is little twisting and more often than not the patient's response is very positive.

Dr. David J. Moreland, DC, CCSP, has provided chiropractic care to patients in Rolla and the surrounding communities for more than 30 years. He is Board Certified by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (ACBSP) and has advanced training in the evaluation and conservative treatment of sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Moreland provides individualized chiropractic care using a variety of techniques, including hands-on chiropractic adjusting, Activator methods, and Cox Flexion-Distraction for appropriate patients with lower back pain, disc-related conditions, and sciatica. A Rolla native, Dr. Moreland believes treatment should be based on each patient's history, examination findings, condition, age, activity level, and individual preferences. His goal is to provide appropriate conservative care while recognizing when additional medical evaluation or referral may be necessary.
