Suffering from TMJ. I found some good exercises on you tube that may help.
I have been fortunate to have never suffered TMJ. Good for me. I have treated way to many patients with TMJ. Adjustments of the TMJ and the cervical spine do wonders for this condition. The patient also needs to do a lot of active home care as well. This includes ice massage for ten to fifteen minutes four times a day. Making sure to keep the ice on the TMJ and not the temporal region.
Also of great importance is exercises. These include the cervical spine as well as the TMJ and jaw itself.
I have included a link here to you tube video that I found, I have has several patients get great results with these.
Give them a try see if they help. If you have not seen your dentist for your TMJ I suggest you do. Often a custom appliance that you wear at night helps. These are a dentist specialty and I strongly urge that you see your dentist to get one.
Chiropractic adjustments to the TMJ and the cervical spine are beneficial as well. Seek out out a chiropractor with a great reputation and ten years experience. The more the better. Stability is good in choosing a chiropractor as well. Find a chiropractor that has been in the same locaton for a long time.
